Текст песни Bottle & A Bible (Mary McBride) с переводом

Stopped by the liquor store

On the way to revival

Headed down the road

With a bottle and a bible

Took a little longer

Than I hoped it would

I want to thank you lord

For treating me good

Ever day, working on survival

It’s hard to choose

Between the bottle and a bible

Part of me believes,

another part wonders

If the bottle’s gonna win

and take me under

I know you love me lord

Just the way that I am

Cause you washed my sins

In the blood of that lamb

Every day, I struggle for survival

How can I choose

Between the bottle and a bible

I got back home

In the middle of the night

I knew where to go

Cause I seen the light

And I made good time

Cause I never stopped

Clear heart and mind

I never cracked the top

Every day, struggle for survival

But you made my choice

Between a bottle and a bible

Yeah, you made my choice

Between the bottle and a bible
