They watch from swinging gallows

The corpses of a thousand good men
All hanging like leaves
Drinking blood from the skulls of dead men
They march in double time
They move like locusts on land
Their prey is human kind
Flies to a carcass
Like men to a god

Until you come down upton them
As though you were the plague
And drive them into the sea.
