I’ve seen my own tombstone.
Buried myself under the sands of time as I watched the rain fall.
All these years spent in the vipers hold.
I’ve walked a million miles
down this lonesome road.
Walked besides a shadow that’s darker than my own.
Ten feathers taken from the blackest crow.
Don’t pass the buck, I’m due to pay my toll.
Look into the eyes of the rattlesnake.
Your time will come when the rattle shakes.
When you’re staring Death right in the face,
There ain’t no way out and you’re way too late.
Still caught in the struggle,
of the world and all its woes.
Still trying to break free from the vipers hold.
Forced to live with the choices I’ve made,
I’ll burn in the fire that I lit with this flame.
